I can't say enough good things about Amanda! Needless to say, after the first couple minutes, I felt completely comfortable and as if I had known her for awhile. She braved the cold winds while making our engagement pictures a fun experience. She not only gives ideas and direction but also asks for your input, as she wants you to get the exact shots you've always hoped for. Extra credit for her having the balance to stand on an uneven post on one foot while taking pictures.
Amanda was very professional and had such great ideas. She was great at making me feel relaxed and comfortable. She made the experience very enjoyable, Even my fiance who does not like having his picture taken felt he could be himself. She has a great eye for lighting and finds the perfect spot for each picture. Working with her was so enjoyable. It was professional yet felt like hanging out with an old friend. Thank you so much for the awesome memories.
Working with Amanda was such a pleasure! Even when the weather wouldn't cooperate for our session, she was flexible and prepared with an amazing back up location! She offered much variety in posing and we were constantly finding new and unique places for photos to have a vast variation. Highly recommend her, as she makes you feel comfortable and lets you really enjoy your session!
When you decide on having me, Amanda, as your wedding photographer you get so much more than pictures. You get a wedding photographer who was in your shoes not too long ago and knows the meaning of these moments first hand, like you will soon understand.
Only two short years ago I was in your shoes planning my wedding in Asheville and getting married. For me, the planning was so stressful and I worried about everything. I knew that when it was over all I would have left from our beautiful Asheville wedding day were my husband, our rings and our wedding album full of pictures.
I hope you're letting it all soak in and enjoying the fact that you're engaged!!! It won't be long before your dreams become reality. Your wedding day is about the priceless moments that reflect your love for one another. The moment your mom finishes lacing your dress and placing your veil, and you look up in the mirror to see yourself as a bride for the first time. The moment when you sincerely say the words, “I do,” will hang in your home for you to smile about every time you see it. These are some of my favorite moments to capture for you because they are the moments that mean the most from my own wedding day.
All too soon you'll be reliving your wedding day through the pictures of the rings, ceremony site, decorative reception, centerpieces, dress and so much more. Your wedding pictures will become a legacy, displayed in your album or framed, for your children and grandchildren to see as they grow up and dream about their own wedding.

My desire to become a wedding photographer grew though planning my own wedding. After seeing my wedding pictures I understood the importance. Which is, your wedding is part of your story. A story of love, family, and of a new beginning. It's the day you fully committed yourself to your best friend in a way that hadn't been done before. And your story is worth telling.
I'm an Asheville wedding photographer. My husband, and high school love, proposed on the Blue Ridge Parkway at the top of Craggy Pinnacle. All I knew I wanted for my wedding (besides him of course) was to be outside on a mountaintop overlooking the WNC mountains.
I modeled in South and North Carolina for about eight years, so I understand how awkward it can feel to be on your side of the camera. Through the years of modeling and photographing I've gained the ability to make my couples feel and look comfortable while i'm there.

I understand the importance of being surrounded by these moments as they are reminders of the love that fill the home. Which is why I include an heirloom full of your favorite moments from the day for you and future generations to look back on and enjoy.
In order to give you the best experience I can, I take a MAX of 10 weddings a year.
Finding the photographer who understands your vision and fits your personality is important. So, let’s meet and talk about what you value most, and you can ask any questions you may have. I find this helps couples be fully confident in their decision.
My parents wedding album was around the house while I was growing up in Asheville. The old three ring binder-like album with the thick plastic covered pages that you have to put your prints behind. We would look through it occasionally; see them with all their family and friends, talking about how different everyone looks after all these years, seeing her white lace-sleeved wedding dress, his white tux with a baby blue tie, and their 80's wedding cake with the staircases and water fountain. I am always taken back to that day before I was even born to experience it with them. And as we look through they remember and tell us funny stories. Without their album we wouldn't have that or see where the beginning started. That's why I love albums so much. I have one from my wedding and anniversary session. I look through mine weekly and friends and family love to look at it too when they come over. I want you to have the same opportunities to remember the once in a lifetime moments that happen on your wedding day.
My grandma prints everything, and I love it! We are always finding and going through old pictures from when she was a kid. We find other pictures, too, like the pictures of my nephew from last year and realizing how much he has grown, or a picture on my fridge of my husband and I from our junior prom that she found and put up for us. I loved it! I smiled so much over it, and we couldn't get over our baby faces. We hadn't seen those pictures in years, and I don't even have a clue where all the digitals are from then. It was only seven years ago, but we looked so young. I think when we look back at our wedding pictures in a couple years we will be surprised at how young we looked then, too.
